Apollo's woeful expression on the cover causes me to fall in love with this darn dog. It’s a simple book, with adorable illustrations. Unfortunately, the author was so much in agreement that she uses that exact word six times in the span of five pages. Adorable, adorable, adorable!
Apollo is first described in detail physically, and then goes on to show us a few of his Dachshund tricks. Apollo the Wonder Dog is well trained, clever, and as previously mentioned … adorable!
If the written words were a match for the terrific illustrations, this book would be outstanding. If you can get past her repetitious word choice, it’s still a very charming book. Dachshund lovers of any age will find themselves smitten with Apollo!
